A pool deck should feel good underfoot, look right against the water and hold up to sun, chlorine and salt. We build new paver pool decks, resurface old concrete decks and handle coping, waterline tile and repairs around existing pools.
Surface options
- Travertine — naturally porous and known for staying comfortable in the sun.
- Concrete pavers — durable and available in lighter colors that reflect heat.
- Porcelain pavers — dense, stain-resistant and very low maintenance.
- Marble and natural stone — a high-end finish for statement pool areas.
Comfort and slip resistance
Lighter colors and certain materials stay cooler on bare feet. Texture matters too: tumbled, brushed or textured finishes give better grip when wet than smooth, polished surfaces. We'll walk you through samples so you can compare look, feel and traction.
Coping and waterline tile
Coping caps the pool edge and ties the deck to the water. We install bullnose and other coping profiles in pavers or stone, plus waterline tile that frames the pool. Replacing coping and tile together is a common way to refresh an older pool without rebuilding it.
Repairs and re-leveling
Sunken, loose or stained pavers around a pool can be lifted, re-based and re-set. We also re-level decks that have shifted and replace damaged coping stones.

Which pool deck paver stays coolest?
Travertine and light-colored pavers generally stay the most comfortable. Shade, color and finish all play a role, so we recommend comparing samples in your own sun.
Can you put pavers over my old concrete pool deck?
Often, yes. If the existing slab is stable, thin pavers can be installed over it. We check height at doors and coping before recommending this approach.
Are pavers safe around salt water pools?
Many are, especially when sealed with a product suited to salt water. We'll recommend materials and sealers that fit your pool.
